Area 1 is located along the rims, from Zimmerman Trail west along the Rims. The starting point will be Zimmerman Park parking lot. This area contains primarily flat ground with gravel surfaces, single track trails, and grasslands. There are areas with steep hills, uneven ground, and cliff edges, but most hazards are easily avoidable. This area is family friendly, but not recommended for young children or individuals with mobility issues.
